First Soldier Seals Last Care Package

In August 2003, Operation Solider Care was born into existence for the need to bring supplies, support and the Lord’s Word into the theater war zone of the Second Persian Gulf War, (2003–11).

My son Tim Zawacky was the first soldier to receive our very first Operation Soldier Care package while he was serving in Q-West, Iraq. Tim and his fellow 101ST Airborne troops received their packages in early September 2003.

At our last and final packing for OSC it seemed fitting to have our first soldier seal up the last box of our ministry mission. Tim is holding the 11,154th care package that he taped up. Standing next to Tim are his sons Collin and Connor.

The final packing took place at First Baptist Church Naples on June 29, 2019. Many OSC volunteers and supporters gathered to celebrate our successful mission in supporting troops in two major wars.

To God be the glory for all the lives these care packages have touched. To God be the glory for the great things He has done. Amen.

Tony Zawacky
