Blue Star Mother Wendy Hayes and daughter Brittany Boaz help with Operation Soldier Care packing on January 11, 2014

Blue Star Mother Wendy Hayes with daughter Brittany Boaz helping with our first packing session of the year on January 11, 2014

The OSC 86th Packing Session is officially on its way to 37 soldiers as January 27, 2014!

In this shipment we had: 30 Army, 1 Marine, 4 Navy, 1 USAF, and 1 UK Army troop member. Of these soldiers there were 32 males and 5 females who will be receiving care packages.

Our shipment weighed in at 1,032 pounds with a total cost of $3,583.00!  Thank you Chad for providing the truck and the muscle power to haul the load to the post office!

We continue to include waterproof bibles, Christian books, tracts, and hand written letters and cards from BLG’s and children from First Baptist Academy. In this shipment we included 24 Bibles, 96 Tracts/Booklets, 6 Christian Books, and 48 letters to our men and women in uniform.

This packing session we had the honor of having Blue Star Mother and Proud Army Mom, Wendy Hayes, and her daughter Brittany Boaz join us to provide extra extra helping hands. Thank you ladies for you rolling up your sleeves and jumping right in to support our troops!

Wendy’s son is deployed for his first time to Afghanistan, and we look forward to celebrating his homecoming back to Fort Riley and to southwest Florida in the not so distant future.
